James Bond actor Pierce Brosnan is returning to the spy genre in a new film project titled A spy’s survival guide. The film is directed by Simon Barrythe creator of Netflix’s supernatural action series Warrior Nun.
Barry is also writing the film, based on a story he and his father, Derek Barry, invented. The project will mark Simon Barry’s directorial debut.
The film “centers on a lonely retired spy who is brought into the open by his enigmatic new neighbor, bringing their secrets to light in the process.”
Barry said in a statement: “As a longtime fan of Pierce Brosnan, I am extremely grateful to have the opportunity to work alongside someone I admire for his artistry, character and humanity.”
Producer Uri Singer added: “Pierce is perfect for this role and we are so excited to see what he and Simon do together.”
This sounds like a great and fun project for Brosnan to dive into! I can’t wait to see how this movie turns out.
