Netflix has released the full trailer for the upcoming sci-fi adventure film Atlas. Movie stars Jennifer Lopez who finds himself in an AI-powered mech, hunting a renegade AI robot, who is causing chaos.
The AI humanoid robot was originally created to improve humanity, but instead turned against it and nearly destroyed it.
Lopez plays Atlas Shepherd in the film, “a brilliant but misanthropic data analyst with a deep distrust of artificial intelligence, joins a mission to capture a renegade robot with whom he shares a mysterious past. But when plans go awry, his only hope of saving humanity’s future from artificial intelligence is to trust it.”
This trailer gives us our best look at the film, and judging by the dialogue, it seems like the AI had a hand in writing the script too because every line spoken in the trailer is so generic.
Atlas was directed by Brad Peyton (San Andreas, Fury) and written by Sardarian Leo AND Aron Eli Coleite.
The film is also the protagonist Simu Liu, Sterling K. Brown, Gregory James Cohan, Abraham Popoola, Lana ParrillaAND Marco Forte.
The film will debut on Netflix on Friday, May 24.
