Grant Gustin had a great time (pun intended) playing Barry Allen on The CW’s DC series The flash. Fans seemed to appreciate his take on the classic superhero, and while he may never play the character again, DC Studios co-CEO James Gunn I would love to work with him sometime.
A fan contacted Gunn on Threads, asking him to cast Gustin as one of the heroes in the next DCU. Gunn responded, saying:
“Grant is an incredibly talented guy, performing on Broadway now, I think, and he has absolutely no intention of wasting it just because he’s not currently in a DC project. But obviously I would love to work with him sometime.
The question is: what other DC character would you like to see Gustin play? Is there a character other than The Flash that you think the actor could adapt to? There are so many characters in the DC Universe to choose from and Gunn seems to enjoy playing with some of the more obscure characters. I’d be curious to know who Gunn would like him to play. What do you think!?
One thing we know for sure is that it will likely be a long time before Gunn casts Gustin in anything, if that happens at all.
