Hasbro reveals TRANSFORMERS: LEGACY ROBOTS IN DISGUISE 2001 OMEGA PRIME HasLab Project

Hasbro has revealed its latest crowdfunding project based on Transformers HasLab Transformers: Legacy Robot in Disguise 2001 Omega Prime. This features an 8.5 inch tall Optimus Prime and 11.5 inch tall Ultra Magnus action figures.

The two figures can combine to form the Ultimate Energy Combiner, a 13.75-inch tall Omega Prime. Also included are the 5.75 inch tall Bluebolt Autobots that can be converted from robots into 6 weapon accessories.

The description reads: “Two Autobots, bonded like brothers, but divided by fate. Optimus Prime was chosen to be the bearer of the Matrix of Leadership and the next commander of the Autobots, leaving Ultra Magnus contemptuous and bitter. Ultra Magnus challenged Optimus Prime for possession of the Matrix of Leadership and leadership of the Autobots. In the midst of the battle, the two merged into a new form: Ultimate Energy Combiner, Omega Prime.

Mike Ballog, Vice President of Action Brands, Hasbro said in a statement: “Transformers and Takara Tomy share a valued partnership that has spanned four decades, creating countless characters and products loved by fans around the world. From the introduction of the toy robot in the vehicle in 1984 to our new 13.75-inch Omega Prime HasLab launched today, we have seen Transformers evolve into a global brand that truly is: more than meets the eye. We were honored to have Takara Tomy’s iconic designer, Hisashi Yuki-San, collaborate with us on this unique Omega Prime design, incorporating the classic features of the original toy that fans loved and updating the design to reflect the modern version for a new generation. We look forward to continuing the TRANSFORMERS legacy with Takara Tomy as we celebrate the brand’s 40th anniversary.”

This project needs 10,000 backers to begin production and will run from January 30, 2024 to March 14, 2024 at 11:59 pm ET. If successful, the project will begin shipping in fall 2025. If you want it, it will cost you $249.99.
