Ayo Edebiri’s role in Marvel’s THUNDERBOLTS revealed

Ayo Edebiribest known for her roles in The bear AND Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles plays an undisclosed role in Marvel’s upcoming developments Lightning movie. Her role in the film has reportedly been revealed.

Edebiri spoke briefly about his participation in the film during an interview with Backstage Magazine. When asked about it she didn’t reveal any details, but she said: “I love being a sponge. I just want to learn as much as I can. I’m excited [for ‘Thunderbolts’] because I do not know; and for me it’s fantastic. I feel like those are always the situations I’ve benefited the most from. If I don’t know what I’m going to learn, this is the best case scenario for me.”

The character is described as “exceptional at her job, surprising even Val with how good she is at getting things done.”

It is likely that this character was created specifically for this film. The rest of the film’s cast includes Sebastiano Stan as Bucky Barnes who will lead the team, Davide Porto in the role of the Red Guardian, Wyatt Russell as a US agent, Hannah John-Kamen in the role of Ghost, Olga Kurylenko like Taskmaster and of course Florence Pugh in the role of Elena Belova. Then, there is Harrison Fordwho takes on the role of General Thaddeus “Thunderbolt” Ross, who will become President of the United States in Captain America: New World Order. Steven Yuen he’s also rumored to be playing The Sentry.

The film is directed by Jake Schreier (Paper cities, Make fun of), from a screenplay by Eric Pearson (Thor: Ragnarok, Black Widow) AND Kurt Busiek. Lightning it is currently scheduled to be released in theaters on July 25, 2025.
