A new report has emerged revealing the possible production start date for the highly anticipated Marvel film. Fantastic Four. This is reported by Daniel Richtman, who states that filming of the film will begin in May 2024. This means that a wave of Fantastic Four casting news coming soon.
So far, the only confirmed cast member is Pedro Pasquale (The last of us), who takes on the role of Reed Richards. But other cast members are said to be included Vanessa Kirby (Mission: Impossible: Showdown) as Sue Storm, aka the Invisible Woman; Joseph Quinn (Stranger things) as Johnny Storm, aka the Human Torch; AND Ebon Moss-Bachrach (The Punisher, The Bear) as Ben Grimm, aka The Thing.
Cilian Murphy (Oppenheimer, Batman Begins, Inception) is also said to be the studio’s top choice to take on the villainous role of Doctor Doom. Anya Taylor-Gioia he’s also in the running for a mystery role in the film. She might be up for the role of Galactus’ herald in the film.
Fantastic Four will be directed by Matt Shakman (WandaVision) from a screenplay by Josh Friedmanwho was brought in to rewrite the script originally written by Jeff Kaplan AND Ian Springer.
Being a project in Phase Six of the MCU, Fantastic Four the release is scheduled for May 2, 2025.
