THE Ocean 11 the prequel film is still in the works at Warner Bros., and Margot Robbie AND Ryan Gosling they will be the protagonists of the film. They recently starred in the hit film Barbie and there’s no doubt that the studio hopes the duo will attract another wide audience for Ocean 11.
All we really know about the story right now is that it will be set in 1960s Europe and in the same universe as George Clooneyit’s the story of Danny Ocean. Now, executive producer Josey McNamara offered a small update on the project, saying:
“They are wonderful together. It would be great to have more projects outside of this too. I can’t really say much, but I think we’re just trying to do the franchise right. I’m excited for people to experience it when it’s ready.”
I’m curious about the movie, but I would much rather see the story set in 1960s Las Vegas instead of 1960s Europe. If you want to respect the franchise, you have to set the story in Las Vegas.
The film will be directed by Jay Roachwho had previously directed Robbie in the film Bomb. The film’s screenplay was written by Carrie Solomon.
