There are some fans out there who aren’t happy with James Wan’s DC movie Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom be released. “Boycott Aquaman 2” was trending on social mediaand other DC fans are wondering why.
Well, the simplest explanation is that fans are just fans. They get angry about something and then go on a crusade to boycott a movie because of some things they don’t like. In the case of the Aquaman sequel, there is controversy about it Amber heardbecause some people just don’t like Amber Heard.
Apparently he’s not in the movie much and didn’t play much of a role in the marketing, but people are still mad about it. Then there’s also the fact that the DC Cinematic Universe will basically be rebooted James Gunn AND Pietro Safran leading the charge, and Aquaman may not have a place in that future, so why watch the movie if it’s going nowhere with what comes next?
I don’t know, that’s what I read, but I’ll watch the movie anyway! I admitted that I’m not thrilled with it and that my expectations are very low, but I’ll watch it anyway in hopes that it exceeds my expectations.
In the James Wan“Having failed to defeat Aquaman the first time, Black Manta, still driven by the need to avenge his father’s death, will stop at nothing to defeat Aquaman once and for all,” the official synopsis of Aquaman and the Kingdom lost law. “This time Black Manta is more formidable than ever, as he wields the power of the mythical Black Trident, which unleashes an ancient and malevolent force. To defeat him, Aquaman will turn to his imprisoned brother Orm, the former king of Atlantis, to forge an unlikely alliance. Together, they must put aside their differences to protect their kingdom and save Aquaman’s family and the world from irreversible destruction.
Jason Momoa plays Aquaman in the film and he joins him Patrick Wilson like Orm, Amber heard like Mera, Yahya Abdul-Mateen II in the role of Black Manta, Nicole Kidman as Atlanna, Dolph Lundgren as king Nereus and Randall Park as Dr. Stephen Shin.
Warner Bros. will release the film in theaters on December 20.
