The first reactions from critics and fans started to spread on social media for Dave Filoni’S Star Wars: Ahsoka series! I was lucky enough to be invited to attend a fan event for the screening, and it was a blast! Disney screened the first two episodes for fans and those episodes received a lot of praise!
As I said in my reaction, these two episodes make a great story for what is sure to be an epic Star Wars series! The fans who will love this series the most are the ones who watched it Star wars the battle of the clones AND Star Wars: Rebels as this is a direct continuation of Rebels. I was so happy with what I saw and will have a full review coming soon. Filoni won’t disappoint fans on this one.
For now, you can read what people are saying about the show and I agree with what everyone is saying here!
I’ve watched the first 2 episodes of Star Wars: Ahsoka and it’s a great start to what is sure to be an epic series! I’m a huge fan of animated shows and have no doubt that Dave Filoni will make an amazing series! Can’t wait to see how this story ends! #AHSOKA pic.twitter.com/O8CxQijne5

#Ahsoka it’s epic! It has those classic Star Wars vibes and feels very fresh at the same time. The first few episodes set the scene vividly, with intriguing villains, a complex bond between Ahsoka and Sabine, and already some awesome lightsaber duels – I really think we’re in for a treat 🧡 pic.twitter.com/oFslCUzqFL

#Ahsoka It’s a DREAM COME TRUE for Star Wars Rebels fans and an exciting reunion for my favorite characters in the galaxy. I’ve watched the first 2 episodes and while it trades a whimsical tone for a more serious tone, the performances and action are STELLAR. #Sabina it’s perfect. A VERY promising start! pic.twitter.com/IBZ4lzFBqi

#Ahsoka it really feels like a perfect continuation of Star Wars Rebels. All of the live action iterations of these characters absolutely nail their animated counterparts. Intriguing story with much to offer any Star Wars fan. Ray Stevenson knocked #BaylanSkoll out of the park! pic.twitter.com/8KwGNU0j6g

#Ahsoka Ep 1 and 2 are remarkable!
Incredibly cinematic and fascinating.
A Pure Sci-fi Samurai Tale that builds on Rebels but promotes the characters we love in another avenue.
Like a massif #Ahsokatano fan (it’s my favorite SW character)
This was all I could wish for❤️ pic.twitter.com/vicyS0b4of

I think #Ahsoka it has a lot of potential. As a fan of Rebels, I felt a very special connection to it. Yet it’s hugely epic in moments and eerily flat in others. Sabine is the lead and by episode 2 I was completely sucked into it. She could go south, but I don’t think she will 🤞 pic.twitter.com/9BKgNcgXuR

I just watched the first two episodes of #Ahsoka. Great soundtrack and I enjoyed all the visuals especially the fight scenes. I love Kevin Kiner’s soundtrack. This makes me want to revisit Clone Wars, and yes, Rosario Dawson is awesome. Looking forward to the rest of the series. pic.twitter.com/gqwRUONsxG

A promising start for #Ahsoka with many great story elements expanding the #Star Wars universe and feel different from Mando. Ep 1 has some slow moments involving a MacGuffin but Ep 2 really freezes. Sabine is an amazing person. I think those who meet her for the first time will really like her. pic.twitter.com/Jzt6GFqkAt

If the first two episodes are any indication, the path cohesive #Ahsoka following can lead to some emotionally gripping and worthwhile battles that expand the Star Wars lore. It’s compelling in every way, but especially in regards to the character dynamics. pic.twitter.com/VsDV3jltmO

The first 2 episodes of #Ahsoka are very entertaining, especially for fans of REBELS and CLONE WARS. I love Ashoka’s fight scenes the most. The first episode is written and directed by Dave Filoni and is my favorite of the two. Much more serious in tone. This is something good #Star Wars pic.twitter.com/wWOMBYbWxd

I enjoyed the first two episodes of #Ahsokaand the best part is that it focuses on telling a great story.
I’ve never seen the animated shows, so I don’t know the details of these characters’ backstories, but their dynamics are clear. pic.twitter.com/L6iwc8eoMB

Initial #Ahsoka Thoughts: Dave Filoni lovingly brings his rebels to life in a story that spans mythology, magic, and lore in a way that might turn off, shall we say, ANDOR fans. Slower pace than expected but still addictive for this Rebels fan. Natasha Liu Bordizzo is my first MVP. pic.twitter.com/fK9lZY4eqo

I got to see the first 2 eps of #AHSOKA
The pictures are MORE impressive. It’s easily the most cinematic #Star Wars series yet.
No surprise, it’s full of references to #StarWarsRebels & Easter eggs. Fans deep in lore will love it. 🧵 pic.twitter.com/7mC5O4Bo0o

Of all the #Star Wars it shows that I was anticipating #ahsoka the best and does not disappoint! Mary Elizabeth Winstead and Natasha Liu Bordizzo capture the spirit of Hera and Sabine by making it their own. Episode 1 was shocking and 2 was amazing! pic.twitter.com/ArQAwk6VwY
—Joseph Deckelmeier (@joedeckelmeier) August 18, 2023
My biggest takeaway from the first two episodes of #Ahsoka is: I need to watch more stuff that Sabine and Hera are in, because I love them both. Natasha Liu Bordizzo and MEW are, of course, excellent. pic.twitter.com/Evex5J74TM

She may be called Ahsoka, but she’s basically live action Rebels and I’m not mad at that. The first 2 episodes made me cheer, laugh, cry… and really want a 10th cat! Great lightsaber fights and lots of heart. If you haven’t seen the animated series Rebels, watch it now. #Ahsoka pic.twitter.com/3Ygo7ncDS8

I enjoyed the first two episodes of #Ahsoka. I’m relieved to have recently joined Star Wars Rebels, because this show was made for animation fans. You’ll still be able to follow through, but it might not hit as hard. More thoughts coming to my TikTok soon. In short, women rule!!!

Ahsoka is definitely the sequel to Rebels that Star Wars fans have been waiting for. While not perfect, it looks better than most other D+ productions like Mando and Boba Fett, but not on the level of Andor.
Love the focus on Sabine Wren, but can see where the casuals get lost.
—Joe Schmidt (@jkschmidt) August 18, 2023
…rapid-fire editing. The only major problem I can foresee is that viewers will be frustrated with the density of the mythology because they are not already familiar with the animated series #The Clone Wars AND #StarWarsRebels. Otherwise I honestly think it’s pretty top notch and could really…

The show will pick up where Star Wars Rebels interrupted and the search for Ezra Bridger (Eman Esfandi) and Grand Admiral Thrawn (Lars Mikkelsen) really starts. The official logline reads: “Set after the fall of the Empire, Star Wars: Ahsoka follows former Jedi Knight Ahsoka Tano (Rosario Dawson) while investigating an emerging threat to a vulnerable galaxy.
Sabine (Natasha Liu Bordizzo) joins Ahsoka on her journey. They will be joined by Hera Syndulla (Mary Elizabeth Winstead), and most likely the droid, Chopper and Zeb will also return. The series is also starring Hayden Christensen as Anakin Skywalker, Ray Stevenson such as Baylon, e Ivanna Sakhno like ShinHati.
The limited series is written by Dave Filoni which produces executive along with Jon Favreau AND Kathleen Kennedy.
Ahsoka will debut on Disney+ on August 23, 2023.
