Adult Swim has released the first trailer for its upcoming series Rick and Morty: The Anime, and yes… it becomes a complete anime in every aspect you can imagine! It looks like it’s going to be a completely crazy series that will be a lot of fun to watch!
The trailer comes with a message from director Takashi Sano (Rick and Morty vs. Genocider, Summer Meets God (Rick Meets Evil), saying:
“As a director, I’d like to assure you that I’m also a huge fan of the original Rick and Morty. I think there are many Rick and Morty fans around the world, and I’m truly honored to have been chosen among all of them to create a new Rick and Morty story. But with that honor comes a lot of pressure, because the original is so well done.
He went on to say:
“What I’ve tried to accomplish with these 10 episodes is to take all my favorite parts of watching Rick and Morty, compress the bass to extract the essence, and then add a unique Japanese twist. I’d like you to enjoy the adventures of Rick and Morty as they move through time and space, tangled in all sorts of chaos.
The featured animation is set to the show’s opening song, “Love Is Entropy”, performed by 0C of Code of Zero and Cameron Earnshaw, music and lyrics by Otonez.
