THE FLASH is getting a cinematic Web3 experience by offering DC fans a multimedia NFT

DC Studios’ The flash the film is getting a Web3 theater experience thanks to Warner Bros. Home Entertainment and Eluvio. So, if you’re a DC fan who loves collecting these media NFTs, then this is obviously for you.

The Flash is released as a multimedia living cinematic experience and it is explained that “Through dynamic menu options based on the film’s locations, owners can watch the 4K UHD film on desktop, mobile, tablet or TV, access special features , collect key art, discover digital Easter eggs, discover hidden AR collectibles, and sell the experience in a community market starting August 1, 2023.

In this immersive Web3 experience, “fans will find themselves on an exhilarating adventure with The Flash as he tries to save the future. Fans will dive into the world of The Flash movie, alongside heroes from the multiverse such as Michael Keaton’s Batman and discovering new characters including Supergirl. In this interactive journey, participants will help The Flash navigate through the mysterious “Chronobowl”, an access to four dynamic menu interfaces (Prime Barry’s apartment, Barry’s childhood room, the Batcave and the cockpit of the Batwing). Fans can uncover hidden clues and unlock exclusive content and behind-the-scenes footage along the way. Each purchase comes with randomly selected key art featuring beloved characters in various levels of rarity.

The multimedia NFT will be offered in Mystery and Premium editions. The Mystery Edition costs $35 and offers a Mystery Bag with 16 possible combinations and a quantity of 10,000. Includes one of four key arts (Prime Barry, Young Barry, Batman, or Supergirl) with varying levels of rarity revealed upon purchase, one of four explorable dynamic menu interfaces (Prime Barry’s apartment, Barry, the Batcave or the Batwing cockpit) revealed after purchase, the theatrical film The Flash and special features and digital collectibles based on dynamic menu location.

Michelle Munson, CEO and co-founder of Eluvio, said, “This is an opportunity for DC fans to own a piece of cinematic history.”

This is the first time WB has released a media NFT at the same time the film is in theaters. They have previously posted two other similar experiences for Superman: The Movie AND The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring (Extended Edition).

I know NFTs aren’t for everyone and WB is the only major studio doing these Web3 cinematic experiences. It must be doing well for them because they keep releasing them.

You can check out a preview here and it will be available for purchase on July 18th.
