Angel Studios has released the first trailer for its upcoming indie sci-fi thriller titled The move. The story follows a man who is banished to a tyrannical parallel Earth after meeting a mysterious stranger with otherworldly powers. He finds himself struggling to get back to the woman he loves.

The film is described as “an uplifting story set in a science fiction world, showing the struggle to maintain faith in God in the midst of a great test”. The film was directed by Brock Heasleyand is the protagonist Kristoffer Polha, Neal McDonough, Elizabeth TabishAND Rosa Reidwith Sean Astin.

The move is a “modern science fiction story of faith that takes many cues from the Book of Job. It follows a man named Kevin (Polaha) who finds himself in a dystopian world faced with a mysterious stranger known as “The Benefactor” who presents him with challenges as he fights to “change reality” and get back to the woman he loves.

Seems kind of weird since you don’t really see a lot of religious sci-fi movies being made. The move will be released in theaters in March 2024.
