Netflix has released a full trailer for its upcoming horror thriller Birdhouse Barcelona. The film is set in the same world as Sandra Bullockthe post-apocalyptic thriller from Bird Box. The film follows Mario and his daughter Anna as they travel through Barcelona in search of shelter, but it’s not easy as the world is now overrun by terrifying creatures that drive people crazy if they look at them. To survive, people are forced to shield their eyesight.
The first movie was great and this sequel seems to offer an equally thrilling and intense story. I liked the first movie, so I’ll jump in and watch this one!
In Birdhouse Barcelona“After a mysterious force decimates the world’s population forcing all who see it to take their lives, Sebastian and his young daughter Anna must face their journey of survival through the desolate streets of Barcelona. But as they form an uneasy alliance with other survivors and make their way to a safe haven, a threat more sinister than the unseen creatures grows.”
Producer DylanClark he said in a statement: “Our world has never been more interconnected. Exploring the phenomenon that is Bird Box with David and Alex Pastor tracking people who survived in Barcelona is a timely opportunity to not only entertain but also show how dependent we are on each other.
These films are based on the novel by Josh Malmanand this upcoming film is written and directed by Alex AND David Shepherd (The occupier, the boss) and cast characteristics Mario Casas, Georgina Campbell, Diego Calva, Alexandra Howard, Naila Schuberth, Patrick Criado, Celia Freijeiro with Lola Dueñas, Gonzalo de Castro, Michael Jenner AND Leonardo Sbaraglia.
It was also announced that Birdhouse Barcelona will be released on Netflix on July 14th.
