Jennifer Lawrence’S Without hard feelings it actually turned out to be a pretty funny movie. It was the kind of R-rated raunchy comedy we used to see in the 80s and 90s, and it was a lot of fun!

In the film, Lawrence plays a 32-year-old woman who is hired by a wealthy couple to “date” their ridiculously socially awkward son to help him come out of his shell. The payout for that is a Buick Regal because, you know, she needs a new car.

Lawrence’s character Maddie finds herself on quite a journey with this guy and they get into some wild situations as the movie unfolds. At one point, Lawrence is stark naked on a beach and ends up arguing with some kids who are trying to steal their clothes.

It’s a pretty crazy scene, but apparently Lawrence had no problem getting in and doing it. He just thought it was funny and did it! While promoting the film, the actress was asked about the scene and she said:

“Everyone in my life and on my team is doing the right thing and saying, ‘Are you sure? Are you sure? Are you sure?’ I didn’t even have a second thought. It was fun for me.

Lawrence explained that shooting the scene required “a lot of rehearsals” and, speaking of embarrassing and sexually charged moments in the film in general, his co-star, Barth FeldmannShe said:

“Every situation these characters end up in, you’re laughing out loud. We became so close instantly that nothing ever felt strange or dangerous. It was completely professional.

Without missing a beat, Lawrence turned to Feldman and asked, “Even when I put my shirt over your head and took you on a speedboat? Did you feel safe?” Feldman deadpanned, “I felt it was an exclusively sterile, professional environment.”

The film comes from the director Gene Stupnitsky (Good guys), and is also the protagonist Andrea Feldmann, Laura Benanti, Natalie Morales, AND Matthew Broderick.
