Sasha Calle saw a good amount of action as Supergirl directed Andy Muschietti’S The flash. I really liked her in the movie as she played a badass version of the character. As it turns out, there were even more awesome fight sequences that were filmed for Supergirl, but they ended up being cut because they were a “little overrated R.”

During a recent interview with Collider, Calle anticipated:

“I did a lot of stunts for it [silo] scene and some, I think, were a little too R-rated [laughs], and they ended up, you know, bringing it in. There are so many visual effects, but maybe one day I can ask Andy to show me them because there were so many, and as much as I love stunts, I would be nice to see it. I’d like to see the entirety of those shots.

I’m sure many fans would love to see action scenes too! Who wouldn’t want to see Supergirl get his ass kicked brutally!?

Calle previously spoke about how she doesn’t want this to be a one-time superhero experience for her. She explained that she would like to continue playing Supergirl in the DC cinematic universe!

“I hope to continue playing Supergirl. I love her deeply! And I think so [The Flash] it really is a runway to a bigger story for her. We really don’t experience much. I feel like this is a runway to a bigger story. Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow, by Tom King, is an incredible comic. I love it. I think it’s so beautiful. So yes, I hope to continue. I hope to continue playing Supergirl for sure.

As of right now, we don’t really know what James Gunn AND Peter Safran they planned for this version of Supergirl to move forward. They had previously announced a Supergirl: the woman of tomorrow series project that the actress mentioned, and about this, they said:

“Super Girl Woman of tomorrow. This is based on Tom King’s wonderful comic book series that came out just last year. He is ready for lots of awards. This is a very different kind of Super Girl. In our series, we see the difference between Superman who was sent to Earth and raised by loving parents from the time he is a baby versus a super girl who was raised on a sliver of rock off the coast of Krypton and has seen everyone around she dying and being killed in horrific ways for the first 14 years of her life, and then she came to earth when she was a little girl and it’s way more hardcore. She’s not exactly the Super Girl we’re used to seeing.

We have no idea if Calle’s version of Supergirl will be the one we see in this project. The whole thing could work as a prequel story leading up to the events of The Flash. But Gunn and Safran could introduce an entirely new take on the character.

Would you like to see Calle play Supergirl again in the future?
