Director Matthew Vaughn has been working on a new globetrotting spy adventure film with Henry Cavill titled argyleand the film has just been given a 2024 release date!
Argyle follows a super spy played by Cavill whose work takes him across the United States, London and other exotic locales. Vaughan previously said of the film, “When I read this first draft of the manuscript, I felt it was the most amazing and original spy franchise since Ian Fleming’s 1950s books.”
Cavill is joined by an impressive cast of actors which includes Bryce Dallas Howard, Sam Rockwell, Bryan Cranston, Catherine O’Hara, John Cena, Dua Lipa, Ariana DeBose AND Samuel L.Jackson.
Vaughn has at least three films lined up for the franchise, which is based on first-time author Ellie Conway’s debut novel of the same name. Jason Fuchs wrote the screenplay.
The film, produced by Apple Original Films and distributed by Universal Pictures, will hit the big screen on February 2, 2024, before streaming on Apple TV+ at a later date.
