After a competitive auction for the film rights, Amazon Studios acquired the right to an unpublished short story titled The Abodewhich they will adapt as a feature film. Michael B. Giordano he’s also aboard the project as a producer, and will most likely star as well.

The Abode tells the story of “a newly divorced father who discovers a house buried in his backyard. He’s a former pro football player looking to retire easily, and the knocks he’s taken on the field are starting to make him insecure about what’s real and imagined, as things start to go wrong.
Jordan is still riding on the success of Creed III, and this sounds like a fascinating film project for him to play in the supernatural sandbox. The story is described as “mind-blowing” and it will be interesting to see how this story plays out.
The story was written by Aaron Jayand Amazon picked it up with a six-figure outright purchase. Not bad!
