A feature film is already in development and all of these projects will be co-developed and produced in partnership with Capcom. There are no details to share regarding the film in the works or any other projects that could result from this partnership.

As a longtime fan of street fighter, I’m excited that we will see another film and see what these other live-action projects will be! I remember that original movie from 1994, I was so excited about it! However, even as a child I knew what a good movie was and what a bad movie was. I walked out of that movie so disappointed, it has its fans though! I think I will see him again soon, it’s been a while.

After all these years, there’s a good chance we might actually see a real one street fighter movie! But there’s always the possibility that it could end up as the newest attempt to revive the Mortal Kombat franchise. That first movie wasn’t good.

It’s a shame because we’ve seen these really great fan-made web series for both of us in the past Mortal combat AND street fighter. Fans seem to get it right, but once projects are steered by studio execs, things fall apart.

The iconic street fighter franchise launched in 1987 and has become one of the most popular and highest-grossing video game franchises of all time. The next chapter in the franchise, street fighter 6is scheduled for release on June 2, 2023.
