Here is a nice short film to watch titled Transmission created by Mikhail Parkhomenenko. This is a short thriller that was shot with an FPV drone in one take. It turned out to be pretty cool and we’re actually seeing more and more impressive drone footage in major feature films these days, but there’s still so much room for improvement!

The director shared the following insight into the challenges of making the short film:
We have had many challenges. One of them was to capture the drone without shaking, because the drone’s motors compensated for the slightest inclination when I caught it on the fly. So my goal was to grab the drone as smoothly as possible with my left hand, and Emil Khaziev’s goal was to turn off the drone right at that moment. …For your convenience, we’ve molded a special handle out of lightweight material to make it easier to hold and hold. And a lot of practice to catch the drone. I also did detailed work with stabilization and masks to reduce blur and jitter artifacts.
Watch the short film below and let us know what you think! It sounds like it’s pretty simple, but there are a lot of elements involved in making a shot like this work.
