The Mandalorian Season 3 Episode 3 “The Foundling” featured an exciting story that included Grogu’s backstory and how he escaped murder while executing Order 66. The fact that he came out of the Jedi Temple on Coruscant it was all thanks to a heroic Jedi named Kelleran Beq who was played by Ahmed Bestand as you can imagine, the actor has gotten a lot of love from fans!

Best expressed his gratitude to fans for the warm welcome back and recently shared a special video message expressing his thanks and talking about how big a fan he is of the franchise. He says:
“Star Wars fan on social media, thank you so much for everyone who danced with me. I’m more of a fan than a person to these movies and always have been, always will be. I get excited when every new Star Wars thing drops , when people show up on stage a [Star Wars] Celebration and I’m more of a Star Wars news junkie than anything else. So I’m right there with you, thank you, and we’re still loving this.”
When previously there was talk of his future in Star Wars franchises like Kelleran Beq, told Star Wars:
“Being in The Mandalorian, part of me doesn’t want to let him go. In the days of The Phantom Menace, you had to let him go. It was just George [Lucas] doing it. Now you can do it for a while. You can tell stories in Star Wars and have them be across multiple mediums. As a writer, as a director now, as a teacher now, there’s so much more that I want to do that this universe is perfect, that I don’t want this to be the end of the legacy. I don’t want this to be the end of the story. I want this to be the beginning and a new beginning. Especially through Kelleran Beq.”
I’m pretty sure we haven’t seen the last of Beq. There is definitely more story to tell with the character as he attempts to get Grogu to a safe place. Grogu’s background is getting more and more interesting!
