DESCENT: LEGENDS OF THE DARK gets expansion this fall

The fan favorite tabletop dungeon exploration adventure Descent: Legends of Darkness is getting a new expansion. Titled Act II: The Traitor’s War, this expansion brings new mechanics and adventures for the heroes of the original game. You and up to three of your friends will have to work together to conquer the new storyline. The Traitor’s War uses an app to run the game so you don’t need a Game Master, and allows the player’s choices to drive the game forward.

Descent Act II is a sprawling, deeply cooperative dungeon crawler driven by player choice, all powered by an app that allows games to be run without a Game Master. The immersive storyline of the game is full of twists and turns that are sure to thrill players of all skill levels. Campaigns can be played solo or with up to 4 players, requiring cooperation and skilled teamwork to overcome challenges.

The Betrayer’s War builds on the exhilarating dungeon crawling adventure of its predecessor by introducing new villains, quests and mechanics. The game sees players returning to Terrinoth, where they find themselves in an unlikely alliance with their greatest enemy, Waiqar the Traitor. They must work together to fight against armies of dragons and the sinister machinations of the Uthuk Y’llan. All six heroes from the original game return to defend their legacy, each equipped with a new hero card and a variety of abilities to aid them in their battle against the oncoming darkness.
