Just over two weeks after the release of the fourth film in the saga starring Keanu Reeves, ‘John Wick’, some lucky ones were able to enjoy yesterday’John Wick 4′ premiere at Cineworld Leicester Square in London. The tape caused a huge reaction among critics.

Social networks have been filled with critical acclaim. Reeves’ co-stars, including Donnie Yen, Hiroyuki Sanada, Marko Zazor, Scott Adkins and Rina Sawayama have received the greatest praise. The length of the film was also much commented on, which at two hours and 49 minutes is almost 40 minutes longer than the previous one.
Katie Walsh, critic for the Los Angeles Times, appreciated the first noting: “I loved John Wick 4! It’s amazing to remember that big franchise blockbusters can look like this (of good). Dan Lausten, you have my heart, my sword, my everything. That didn’t seem very long to me, you can ignore the tradition (who cares!). There’s one (1) thing I hated (because it’s stupid)”. Something similar to what Collider’s editor-in-chief, Steven Weintraub, also indicated on his Twitter: “‘John Wick 4’ is fucking awesome. I literally had to lift my jaw off the floor at the crazy inventive sets.” Also adding a hint of what we will see: “You’re not ready to see what Keanu does with the Dragon’s Breath shotgun. Also, Donnie Yen brings his star game. Can’t wait to see him again”.

You are not prepared for what Keanu does with the dragon blowgun.

Los Angeles Film Critics Association member and Variety contributor Courtney Howard praised the film, noting that it is “an exciting and absolutely spectacular ride” making sure it will “The wildest moment you will experience at the cinema this year”and with particular emphasis on the performances of Reeves’ co-stars: “The cast of ‘John Wick 4’ is full of titans. Donnie Yen: As sharp and fast as ever. Hiroyuki Sanada: Amazing. Marko Zaror: a relentless beast. Scott Adkins does a very deep character work. The way Rina Sawayama doesn’t break eye contact by taking off her kimono gave me goosebumps”.

The duration does not convince everyone
CinemaBlend reviewer Eric Eisenberg, though initially not entirely convinced by the length, eventually admitted That “the movie makes money” being “an epic with clever pacing that never lets the action feel exhaustingand the scenes are fantastic”. Which Digital Spy editor Ian Sandwell agrees with, stating that: “‘John Wick 4’ is absolutely gigantic. Yes, It’s long, but its outrageously good scenes more than make up for it.”.
John Wick: Chapter 4 is absolutely HUGE. Yes, that’s long, but his outrageously good set pieces more than make up for it. A brilliant, brutal and elegant action epic that sees Keanu Reeves go further than ever before and with moments that will have fans talking… #JohnWick4 pic.twitter.com/6zNg6c3KX5

Something different he underlined Eammon Jacobs, from Insider, who finished convincing the film why “the story is absurd”further noting that: “Unfortunately, I really felt that the running time got longer, getting very messy at the end”.
‘John Wick 4’ premieres at the cinema from March 24th.
