Damian Lewis it was one of the best parts of Showtime Billions as Bobby Axelrod. He was the anchor of the show! A lot of fans weren’t happy when she ended up leaving the show at the end of season 5, and when she left the show it wasn’t the same, the energy she brought us was amazing, and when the show lost that energy , in my opinion, the show wasn’t quite as good.

However, it’s understandable why he walked away from the series at the time. He passed away in 2021 following the death of his wife, actress Helen McCrory.

But Lewis will return to the series in season seven. He will appear in six of the 12 episodes of Billions which will air next season. It will be refreshing to see him in action again, and it will be interesting to see what the next chapter in his story brings.

In Season 7, “alliances are turned upside down. Old wounds are armed. Loyalties are tested. The betrayal takes on epic proportions. Enemies become wary friends. And Bobby Axelrod returns, as the stakes rise from Wall Street to the world.”

The door has been left open for Lewis to return and it’s exciting to see this character return. Lewis will reunite with Paul Giamatti, Corey StollAND Maggie Siff and the show is currently in production in New York.
