Cocaine bear it was released last weekend and for the most part audiences seem to be enjoying it! I had a blast watching it! For a film called Cocaine bear, it’s exactly what I expected it to be. It’s just a stupid blood-soaked comedy franchise and the writer of the movie, Jimmy Guardianhe wants to make a lot of sequels that are sure to get more and more ridiculous.

In a recent interview with Variety, he says he wants “Not just one sequel. Many sequels,” saying “‘Cocaine Bear in Space’ is where we’re probably going to end up.” While she’s joking about this, it’s probably something he’s actually considered. He explained:
“I’m joking with you about ‘Cocaine Bear goes to space.’ But for the sequels, I definitely have some ideas for it. The bear is not the bad guy in this movie. What happened is a product of everyone else’s circumstances and bad decisions. I think it’s a story we can continue to tell it over and over again. I’d be thrilled to tell it because there are some really good ideas that we have for the next films.”
As someone who enjoyed the first movie, yes I would be up for watching the sequels! I’m curious to see what other ideas Warden has in the kitchen! It looks like the film will be a hit theatrically, so I won’t be surprised to see the studio want to make a sequel.
With how crazy the first movie is, he didn’t even think it would get made! He said:
Yes. To be completely honest, maybe I shouldn’t say this, I never thought anyone would make this movie. When you have a script, you want to do whatever it takes to get people to read it. So I never had any doubts that the movie would be called “Cocaine Bear.” I think if you’d asked me then I’d be like, if it ever gets done, I assume people are probably going to want to change the name. But Universal never did.
This is because the title is one of the film’s greatest strengths! Cocaine bear it’s a great title and it’s the first thing people see and hear that piques their interest. You hear that title and you know it’s going to be a crazy fun movie!
The film is inspired by the bizarre true story of a giant 500-pound American black bear who died from ingesting a ridiculous amount of cocaine after a drug smuggler’s plane crashed. He ingested 70 kilos of cocaine!
The film was directed by Elizabeth Banks and is the protagonist Keri RussellMargo Martindale, the late Ray Liotta, Alden Ehrenreich, O’Shea Jackson Jr., Jesse Tyler Ferguson, Kristofer Hivju, Kahyun Kim, Christian Convery, Brooklynn PrinceAND Scott Seiss. This movie will be a blast to watch!
