Rami Malek has signed on to star in a major studio film project titled Amateur. The film is set at 20th Century Studios and will be directed by James Haweswho had directed the successful Apple series Slow horses. These are two great talents, so this film project is in good hands and will tell an intense and emotional story.

The story follows “a CIA cryptographer who, after his wife is tragically killed in a terrorist attack in London, calls on his bosses to go after them. When it becomes clear they won’t act due to conflicting internal priorities, he blackmails the agency into training him and letting him go after them himself.
The screenplay of the film was written by Gary Spinelli, and it seems like the kind of thrilling revenge story I’d enjoy. This also seems like a perfect blueprint for Malek and Hawes to get involved.
Malek recently finished production of Christopher Nolan thriller Oppenheimerand he’s looking into several film projects for the next thing he’s going to do, and there’s a good chance that Love will be. He was also recently cast to star in Buster Keaton limited series for Warner Bros TV.
