It had been rumored for some time and Vin Diesel himself assured his fans that it was on the way, but it’s finally official: the “Riddick” saga continues. As Deadline was able to exclusively confirm, the sci-fi action franchise that started in 2000 with ‘Pitch Black’ will have a fourth installment, the title of which has already been revealed: ‘Riddick: Furya’.

Despite being very busy with ‘Fast & Furious’, Diesel is once again the protagonist in this fourth part, which also sees the return as director and screenwriter of David Twohy, who directed the previous three. In addition to once again directing the cast, Diesel is also producing on the project through his company One Race Films and Samantha Vincent.
In ‘Riddick: Furya’ we will see Riddick return to his home planet, a place he barely remembers and which he fears will be in ruins due to the Necromongers. However, in this inhospitable world, Riddick will find other Furyan warriors fighting for their existence against a new enemy.some of which will have much more in common with him than he ever imagined.
