The Southern California County Sheriff’s Department has released an update on the search for British actor Julian Sands – a month after he was reported missing in the Mount Baldy region of the San Gabriel Mountains.
A spokesperson for the sheriff’s department said on Saturday:
“We remain hopeful in the search for Julian Sands, but know the outcome may not be what we want.
“Conditions on Mount Baldy remain a hazard and our aviation division continues to patrol the area when available. We also plan to conduct a land search in the area in the future.”
Sands was reported missing on January 13 after failing to return from a hiking expedition in the area. Several house searches have already been carried out by public and private bodies. The actor is a seasoned hiker and friends and family are still hoping for his return.
Sands is known for his roles in films such as The Killing Fields, A Room with a View, Warlock, Arachnophobia, Boks Helena And Leaving Las Vegas. He appeared on television 24, Town And banshee.
