Following in the footsteps of ‘Halloween’

Jason Blum, CEO of the aforementioned production company, showed his high expectations for the film, comparing it to the successful ‘Halloween’ reboot. “The first ‘Halloween’ movie was great, the second one was okay and the others weren’t so good anymore. And we came in and you can tell we sort of shaped it and people liked it, so I hope we can do the same with “The Exorcist”. Everyone thinks we’re going to crash, but we have the same director and the same writer, David Gordon Green and Danny McBride. And I think so we’re going to reinvent “The Exorcist” to make it feel like something fresh, new, differentalthough, you know, related to the first movie, but also very, very scary.”.
