Shout Factory has released a trailer for its upcoming magical fantasy adventure filmThe magic Fluteand is a reinterpretation of the homonymous classic work by Mozart.

The film is executive produced by Roland Emmerich, and the story follows a 17-year-old boy named Tim Walker as he travels from London to the Austrian Alps where he attends the legendary Mozart boarding school. It is there that he discovers an ancient passage into Mozart’s fantasy world The magic Flute.
The synopsis says this is a “captivating film that follows a teenager on two journeys: one to a prestigious boarding school to fulfill his aspirations as a singer, and to a parallel world filled with fantasy and adventure. Tim (Jack Wolfe) has dreamed all his life of attending the Mozart All Boys Music School, but already his first days there confront him with a hostile principal (F. Murray Abraham), the urgings of a first love and serious doubts about the authenticity of her singing voice. When he discovers a mystical door in the school library, he is drawn into the fantastic cosmos of Mozart’s opera, The Magic Flute, where imagination knows no bounds and the queen of the night (Sabine Devieilhe) reigns”.

The film is also the protagonist Iwan Reon, Stefi Celma, Ashe Banks, Stephen Konarske, Niam McCormack, Amir WilsonAND Tedros Teclebrhan. Sounds like the kind of thing you’d see on the SyFy Channel or something. Shout Factory will release The magic Flute in theaters March 10, 2023.
