In a recent Sundance interview with Collider, Will Forte was asked about making the film with classic cartoon characters, and he explained:

“I mean it was so much fun doing it. It came out of this article that I think is decades old. Wiley Coyote is suing Acme Corporation because of all the different gizmos blowing up in his face and stuff. , I get to play Wile E. Coyote’s lawyer, and it’s a mixture of animation, and it’s like a Who Framed Roger Rabbit?-style movie. And yes, John Cena is great in it. Lana Condor is in it. It’s It was so much fun making it, and these guys making it are so smart. Because you have to figure out where this animated character is going to move. It’s been amazing to be a part of. So, I’m excited to see how this plays out because, obviously, I play a lot of times with a tennis ball. There’s a tennis ball as an eye line and it moves. So, yeah, I think, I don’t know. I don’t know how much more I can say about it, but I’ve been babbling for a while.”

While it must be challenging to play in front of a tennis ball, Forte made it work and he certainly felt the excitement of making a film with such beloved characters. He went on to say:

“No, I mean, there are so many different characters from that universe that are involved. It was such an honor to play with all these beloved cartoon characters.”

Currently, Coyote versus Acme has no release date. It was originally slated to air this summer, but it was turned down Barbieso stay tuned and we’ll let you know when it gets rescheduled.
