Like many pundits and fans of his career, Brendan Fraser first got a nomination for his work at the Oscars 2023. ‘The Mummy’ actor reacted to the news and dropped a few words about it where He was very excited of the result, and more, he thanked all those who made it possible for this to happen.

Through a statement published by the Academy, Brendan Fraser has welcomed his first Oscar nomination: “I am absolutely delighted and deeply grateful to the Academy for this recognition and for recognizing Hong Chau’s beautiful performance and Adrien Morot’s incredible makeup,” said the ‘The Whale’ actor.

And not only, Brendan Fraser thanked the entire team behind it ‘The whale’, the tape in which he participates with Sadie Sink of the Netflix series, ‘Stranger Things’: “I would not have this nomination without Darren Aronofsky, Samuel D. Hunter, A24 and the extraordinary cast and crew who have given me the gift of Charlie. A gift that I certainly didn’t see coming, but that has profoundly changed my life. Thank you!”.

The Brendan Fraser’s first nomination for ‘The whale’ comes after having had a successful career at the box office, with hits like ‘The Mummy’ or ‘Journey to the Center of the Earth’. However, after some outrages in her personal life, she left the big screen for a while and decided to come back with some small roles, and now she wants to give the utmost honor to his career with this job.

Brendan Fraser’s new films

While fans wait for ‘The Whale’ to hit theaters on February 9th, Brendan Fraser already has 3 new movies coming in his near future which are equally exciting projects. The first of these is “Behind Curtain of Night”, a science fiction novel by Dalibor Stach, in which he stars alongside Dawn Olivieri.

On the other hand, we have “Brothers”, a comedy directed by Max Barbakow in which Josh Brolin, Peter Dinklage and Glenn Close also participate, among others. And finally, the highly anticipated new film by acclaimed director Martin Scorsese, “Killers of the Flower Moon”, in which Brendan Fraser will share the screen with Academy Award winner Leonardo DiCaprio.

In addition, there has also been a lot of talk about the return of Brendan Fraser in a new film of ‘The Mummy’, after the failure that was the reboot starring Tom Cruise. Fraser has repeatedly confirmed his interest, however Universal, which owns the rights to the franchise, has not mentioned anything in this regard.
