Apple TV+ has released an interesting teaser trailer for a new titled series The Prize of the Great Door. The film is based on MO Walshis the novel of the same name, and tells the story of a small town that is changed forever when a mysterious machine appears in the general store.

The strange machine is called the Morpho Machine and what makes this machine so special is that it has the power to reveal each person’s true life potential. It gives people hope, tells them the whole reason they exist on Earth, and it seems like something too good to be true.
This is a fascinating concept to play with and there are so many different ways to explore how it affects the inhabitants of this small town. When I saw the trailer it just came to mind The twilight zone episode “Nick of Time” in which William Shatner stumbles upon a fortune-telling machine in a bar that has begun to influence him and his decisions. But this is on a much grander scale.
The series is described as a “heartwarming character-driven comedy” and stars Chris O’Dowd, David West Read (Schitt’s Creek), Gabrielle Dennis (A Black Lady sketch show), Ally Maki (Destroyed), Josh Segarra (The other two, She-Hulk: lawyer), Damon Gupton (Super pumped), Crystal fox (Little big lies), Sammy Fourlas (TikTok person) e Djouliet Amara (Riverdale).
The Prize of the Great Door is produced by Skydance Television and CJ ENM/Studio Dragon. David West Read is showrunner and executive producer.
There’s no release date yet, but it’s coming to Apple TV+ this year.
