EXCLUSIVE: Here is a first look at the Hindi dub of Acandaone of the highest grossing Telugu movies of 2021/2022.
The action film from producers Dr. Pen Studios’ Jayantilal Gada and Sajid Qureshi and director Boyapati Srinu will release in Hindi on January 20.
After debuting in December 2021, it earned £120.8 million (US$14.6 million) at the box office, making it Nandamuri Balakrishna’s biggest film to date. Acanda was also a hit on Disney+ Hotstar.
Acanda Balakrishna stars in a dual role as Gemini, an ardent supporter of Lord Shiva who was originally a Gemini taken from his family as a baby and then fights evildoers. Producers say it weaves “a historical narrative” into the plot. Pragya Jaiswal, Jagapathi Babu and Srikanth also star.
The film was Balakrishna’s third collaboration with Srinu after 2010 sul and that from 2014 Legend.
Gada said, “If we’ve learned anything over the past year, it’s that audiences crave mass entertainers and visual spectacles that are worth a visit to the theater. We believe Acanda is a film that will find viewers in a variety of language markets and has pan-India appeal given the fan base of Nandamuri Balakrishna and the high quality action and entertainment that the film offers.
Gada’s Pen Studios and Dwaraka Creations are behind the film.
