Second parts that have managed to outdo their original films

It is said out there that there are never good second parties, and although in most cases it is the rule, there are also examples that break completely with this trend. And it is believed that the sequels came only to increase the success of the first part, but this is not the case, there are stories that have even managed to outdo their original filmsno matter how difficult the task seemed.

Probably one of best sequels of all time be “Terminator 2”, which although the first part managed to be quite a decent sci-fi and action film, it was James Cameron’s sequel that managed to enter the history of cinema. The Godfather 2

dark Knight

Although Christopher Nolan made with “Batman Begins” one of the best adaptations of the Dark Knight on the big screen, it was “The Dark Knight”, the 2008 sequel, which was placed in the annals of history. Perhaps due to Heath Ledger’s performance as the Joker, or Christian Bale’s story as Bruce Wayne, this story is the most remembered of the trilogy. Available on HBOMax.

To say that James Cameron has two of the best sequels of all time is easy to say, but the director of ‘Titanic’ has managed with ‘Aliens 2’ to be on the level of Ridley Scott’s sci-fi action film, and it is already so to speak many. Again with Sigourney Weaver as Ripley, this time the action takes over the plot, although for many the two parts are equally good. Available on Star+.

The silence of the lambs

Finally a sequel that few recognize, even if it is technically a sequel to Michael Mann’s “Hunter of Men”, “The Silence of the Lambs”. Although in the original film the role of Hannibal Lecter was not played by 5-time Academy Award winner, Anthony Hopkins.
