Dubai has officially opened its autumn tourist season as extreme summer heat subsides across the United Arab Emirates, allowing outdoor city walks, desert safaris, and major public events to resume before peak winter crowds arrive.
While daytime temperatures in September can still exceed 35 degrees Celsius, weather conditions become noticeably milder throughout October and November.
The seasonal shift allows visitors to combine beach holidays with open-air cultural festivals, historic market tours, and world record attractions across the city.
Autumn Weather and Event Schedule
As summer heat fades, urban activity moves out of air-conditioned spaces and returns to open-air venues, parks, and city streets. The cooler months host several major festivals, exhibitions, and athletic competitions.
Dubai Design Week is scheduled to take place from November 3 to November 8, 2026, in the Dubai Design District. The festival features outdoor art installations, exhibitions, lectures, workshops, interactive projects, and a market for local artisans and brands.
As part of Design Week, the Downtown Design fair will run from November 4 to November 8. International and Middle Eastern studios and brands will display furniture, interior items, and collectible design objects.
Athletic and fitness events will take over public spaces during the tenth Dubai Fitness Challenge, running from October 31 to November 29. The initiative encourages participants to complete 30 minutes of physical activity daily for 30 consecutive days, supported by free sports venues across the city.
On November 1, cyclists will take over part of Sheikh Zayed Road during Dubai Ride. On November 22, the same main highway will close to vehicle traffic for Dubai Run, offering free five-kilometer and ten-kilometer running courses.
The autumn sports schedule also includes padel tennis competitions, the DP World Tour Championship golf tournament, the Dubai T100 triathlon, and the SailGP regatta.
From November 2 to November 12, the city will celebrate Diwali during the Festival of Lights. The program includes cultural events, festive performances, and public fireworks displays.

The Lana, Dorchester Collection is situated near Marasi Bay Marina and features a rooftop swimming pool and High Society restaurant overlooking the Burj Khalifa. Room rates can reach several hundred thousand rubles per night.
Architectural Landmarks and World Records
Dubai has established an urban tradition of building record-breaking structures across hotels, swimming pools, botanical gardens, transportation projects, and interconnected skyscrapers.
Deep Dive Dubai is officially certified as the deepest diving pool in the world, reaching a depth of 60.02 meters and holding roughly 14 million liters of water, equivalent to six Olympic-sized swimming pools.
