Actress Dove Cameron and singer Damiano David have married in Tuscany following an official civil ceremony in Rome.
The 30-year-old American star and the 27-year-old Italian musician tied the knot in Val d'Orcia on Saturday in front of more than 200 guests. Val d'Orcia is a valley region in Tuscany in central Italy, famed for its rolling hills and rural estates.
Cameron wore a shimmering off-the-shoulder minidress embellished with silver sequins and beads, paired with lace-up boots rather than a traditional gown. David wore a black suit and bow tie for the nuptials.
The couple hosted a dinner at Castiglion del Bosco, a resort located in the Tuscan countryside. Photos from the evening showed the newlyweds dancing the night away on the dancefloor with MARTINI cocktails, which were also enjoyed by their guests.
The wedding in Tuscany followed a legal civil ceremony held last week at the town hall in Rome, the capital of Italy. Cameron wore an elegant custom white suit by Italian fashion house Giorgio Armani for the official signing.
After being declared husband and wife, Cameron and David shared a kiss on the steps of the town hall while being showered with confetti by their loved ones.
Intimate proposal and ring
Cameron first rose to fame with a role in the Disney Channel show Liv and Maddie, an American teen sitcom where she played twin sisters, before starring in the network's Descendants movie trilogy. She has since taken on mature roles, starring earlier this year in the erotic thriller series 56 Days on Prime Video.
David is best known as the lead vocalist of Italian rock group Måneskin, who won the Eurovision Song Contest in 2021.
Rumours that the couple were engaged first surfaced last year. Cameron flashed unusual diamond rings on her wedding finger at the Glamour Women of the Year Awards in November 2025, though her actual engagement ring was officially unveiled a few months later on social media.
In January, Cameron posted to her main Instagram page to announce the engagement, sharing sweet snaps of the couple cosying up together as she displayed the ring to the camera. "My favourite part of being alive happy new year," she wrote in the caption.
Later that month, Cameron opened up about the proposal during an appearance on NBC talk show The Tonight Show With Jimmy Fallon. Flashing the diamond sparkler on her ring finger, she revealed that David had designed the piece of jewellery himself.
"He did such a beautiful job. He helped design it so I feel like, especially touched and it's so perfect," Cameron told Fallon. "He was like, 'I'm designing the ring'. And then he was like, 'The ring is done'. So, I knew. So, every step of the way I didn't know how close we were or how far we were, right? But I just knew that this was coming."
Cameron recalled being at home in an oversized shirt with no makeup and wet hair from the shower when she realized he was about to pop the question. "I was so prepared until literally right now," she recalled thinking. "And so, I ran into the other room like panicking. Should I do my nails? Like, what do I do? I gotta be ready."
She eventually met David in the living room after her "brain broke in half" to find him waiting with something in his hand. David explained why he chose an intimate proposal at home rather than a grand public event.
According to Cameron, David told her: "I know that some girls want rose petals. I know you were maybe expecting something big. But our life is so big and it's so - and it's full of so many public highs that there's no romance in that for us anymore. And so I wanted to do this here in our home because I want dishes, I want laundry, I want baking foods together. I want you in your big T-shirt. And this is the life that I choose and I hope you choose the same. Will you marry me?"
Relationship history
Cameron and David were first romantically linked in September 2023. The couple made their official red carpet debut together the following year in 2024.
They went on to attend several high-profile public events together, including the 2024 Met Gala at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York and a Los Angeles Lakers basketball game.
During an interview with Cosmopolitan magazine, Cameron spoke about her relationship with the Italian singer and praised his character.
"He's a Capricorn, so he was very much like, 'Okay, these are my intentions'. It was super honorable. He's like a 1950s gentleman, angel, teddy bear. He's the best person I've met in my life," Cameron said.
