Her representative, Danny Nozell, confirmed that the artist continued developing new material until her final days. He stated that Parton loved seeing her dreams come to life and knowing her work brought joy to people, adding that she carefully selected a team to craft a project roadmap that will guide her estate over the coming decades.
According to a report by The Hollywood Reporter, her upcoming releases include a show featuring a digital avatar of Parton, a musical documentary detailing her legacy, a biographical feature film, a docuseries, a fiction project, and an animated series about Billy the Kid. Her legacy team leaders stated that they intend to be transparent with followers regarding projects in various stages of development, assuring fans that any unreleased music, merchandise, books, experiences, or campaigns launched through official channels carry her personal stamp.
Career and Business Empire
Parton built a massive multi-industry empire during her decades-long career as a country singer, songwriter, actress, and businesswoman. In addition to her entertainment ventures, she created Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library, an educational initiative that collects millions of books for children worldwide. Nozell announced that the celebration will transform into a two-day, two-weekend festival taking place across two continents, allowing artists and fans worldwide to participate while giving everyone time to grieve and plan.
Tributes have also poured in from across the music industry, led by her goddaughter, pop star Miley Cyrus, who wrote that she will create a song dedicated to Parton. Cyrus stated that Parton would want her to experience her feelings, write a song about them, and move forward with strength. Cyrus expressed that she has an angel by her side and always has, noting that one of their final conversations focused on music and metamorphosis, and added that she will always love Parton and want her to be proud of her.
