Disney and TikTok have announced a strategic alliance that will let community-made videos appear inside Disney+. Both companies describe the deal as the first of its kind, aimed at bringing user-generated content closer to the streaming platform.

Under the agreement, creators who choose to take part will be able to use official Disney resources, including images and video clips tied to its franchises, to produce new content. A selection of these videos, jointly chosen by Disney and TikTok, will then appear both on TikTok and in Verts, the vertical-video section of Disney+.
The deal also includes incentives for participating creators, such as access to exclusive events, professional development programs and other rewards meant to support talent active in Disney's fan communities.
Rollout starts in the US
The integration will launch in the United States over the coming months, though Disney has confirmed it intends to extend the initiative to other markets later on.
The move reinforces Disney's push into vertical video, a format gaining ground across streaming platforms. Competitors including Netflix and HBO Max have already introduced similar features to adapt to the growing consumption of content on mobile devices.

Disney is looking to tap into heavy user activity on social media, particularly around franchises like Marvel and Star Wars, where thousands of creators post theories, analysis and other content about their favorite characters every day. The company's goal is to bring that creativity directly onto Disney+ and keep subscribers engaged with the platform.
