Daisy Edgar-Jones and her on-screen sister Esmé Creed-Miles led the star arrivals at the Sense and Sensibility premiere in Leicester Square on Tuesday evening, walking the red carpet hand in hand.
The film is based on Jane Austen's debut novel and tells the story of two sisters navigating love and heartbreak amid the strict social rules of 18th-century Britain.
Edgar-Jones, 28, who plays eldest sister Elinor Dashwood, wore a plunging satin Vivienne Westwood gown with bow detailing on the straps and a slit up the leg. She styled her brunette hair in an undone half-up, half-down look and accessorised with Boucheron archive jewellery said to be 149 years old.
Creed-Miles, who plays younger sister Marianne, arrived in a statement white skirt paired with a cropped black blazer before later changing into a sheer striped shirt and black trousers.
The pair are reuniting on screen after first working together as teenagers on the 2018 film Pond Life.
Fiona Shaw's unconventional red carpet moment
Fiona Shaw, known for playing Carolyn Martens in Killing Eve, took a less conventional approach to the red carpet, dropping to the ground to lie beside the venue's floral display. She wore a blue co-ord cinched with a belt and black slingback heels, and was seen touching and smelling the flowers while sitting on a patch of astroturf.
Ceara Coveney, who plays Lucy Steele in the film, wore a brown lace AMIRI dress with sheer panelling, paired with FoundRae jewellery.
The story behind Sense and Sensibility
The new adaptation follows the three Dashwood sisters and their mother as they are forced to leave Norland Park, the family's estate in Sussex, and move to a modest cottage in Devon after the death of their father. There, they experience life on the fringes of the society they once enjoyed while becoming acquainted with new suitors.
The sisters' opposing temperaments drive the story, with the practical Elinor guided by her head while the passionate Marianne is led by her heart.
Sense and Sensibility is released in UK cinemas on September 25, following Tuesday's London premiere.
Cast and crew
The cast also includes Caitríona Balfe, alongside George MacKay, Frank Dillane and Herbert Nordrum as the sisters' potential suitors. Bodhi Rae Breathnach, known for Hamnet, plays youngest sister Margaret.
The screenplay was adapted by writer Diana Reid, who retained several quotes directly from Austen's original novel. The film is directed by Georgia Oakley and produced by the team behind 2005's Pride & Prejudice, starring Keira Knightley and Matthew Macfadyen, and 2020's Emma, starring Anya Taylor-Joy.

Frank Dillane wore a long grey jacket, Russell Tovey opted for a blue shirt, and Chloe Pirrie wore a black corset gown with a sheer skirt.
Chris Appleton, who is set to appear on Strictly Come Dancing later this month, wore a black suit with a striped shirt. George Fouracres wore a black suit, Millie Mackintosh wore a strapless corset gown, and Vanessa Feltz stood out in a green sequin dress.
