Cristiano Ronaldo is moving into British television as executive producer of a new football drama series, with the project already in production, according to reports from the Spanish press citing the British tabloid The Sun.
The series, titled Day 1s, centres on the life of a fictional football agent played by Damian Lewis, known for his roles in Homeland and Pressure. Ronaldo will not only work behind the camera but is also expected to appear on screen as one of the show's guests, alongside former Arsenal striker Thierry Henry.
Filming has begun at the stadium of Barnet FC in northwest London.
A calculated media expansion
The television project fits into a broader pattern for the 40-year-old footballer, who has spent years building business interests alongside his playing career, including hotels, gyms, clinics and partnerships with major brands.
His partner, model and influencer Georgina Rodriguez, has already established a significant television presence of her own through a reality show, entertainment programme appearances and, more recently, a YouTube channel focused on fashion, lifestyle and business.
According to the Spanish press, the couple is now pursuing a new television project together aimed at capitalising on sustained public interest in their private life, luxury lifestyle and family dynamic. The move is described as part of a strategy to convert media exposure into a structured business, with original content and direct control over the story they present to their global audience.
Engagement and prenuptial arrangements
Ronaldo and Rodriguez, who have five children together, became engaged after nearly a decade as a couple. In August 2025, Rodriguez announced the engagement publicly on Instagram, posting an image of the ring alongside a message expressing her acceptance of the proposal, a post that was widely picked up by press around the world.
Spanish media reports indicate the couple signed a prenuptial agreement in 2017, later updated, that covers scenarios including the arrival of additional children and a potential divorce. According to those same sources, the agreement would provide Rodriguez with a monthly payment of more than 100,000 euros and the couple's home in La Finca, an exclusive Madrid residential area valued at several million euros, in the event of a separation.
Rodriguez has extended her personal brand beyond streaming platforms through her YouTube channel, giving her greater editorial control over her content output.
