Cristiano Ronaldo and Georgina Rodriguez have made their first public appearance since their secret wedding, watching Al-Nassr play Al-Fateh in Riyadh. The newlyweds were pictured together with their children in the VIP box at Al-Awwal Park during the Saudi Pro League match.

Ronaldo, 41, sat out of the fixture after missing preseason preparations following the World Cup. His wedding to Rodriguez in Portugal meant he only rejoined his teammates a few days ago.

Ronaldo appeared tense as he watched the action on the pitch unfold, but the Portuguese forward was also pictured clapping during the match. The couple have two biological children together, while Rodriguez helps raise all five of Ronaldo's children, including eldest son Cristiano Jr. and baby daughter Bella.

Private Ceremony in Cascais

The couple tied the knot in an intimate civil ceremony last week in Cascais, a coastal town in Portugal. The ceremony took place a year after they announced their engagement on social media following ten years together.

The Portugal star announced that he and Georgina had tied the knot by sharing a snap of their wedding bands on Instagram

Ronaldo confirmed the news by sharing a picture of their wedding bands on Instagram with the caption: 'C❤️G.' A representative for the footballer also confirmed the union in a public statement.

'Cristiano Ronaldo and Georgina Rodriguez were married today in a civil ceremony in Cascais, Portugal, and are now officially husband and wife,' the representative said. 'The ceremony was a private and intimate moment attended by their five children.'

A copy of the marriage certificate published by Portuguese newspaper Jornal de Noticias stated that only four witnesses were present at the wedding alongside the couple's children. The listed witnesses were Rodriguez's sister Ivana, Ronaldo's long-time friend Miguel Paixao, and Spanish couple Jose Rodriguez Sangil and Monica Goncalez Martinez.

Registrar Maria Manuel Ferreira de Campos Folhadela de Oliveira travelled from Porto in northern Portugal to Cascais to officiate the civil ceremony.

Family Absence and Reactions

Ronaldo's mother Dolores Aveiro and his three siblings, Hugo, Elma and Katia, were not present at the ceremony in Cascais. Reports in Portugal claimed the family only learned about the wedding moments before it took place.

Portuguese television presenter Cristina Ferreira discussed the absence on the TVI programme Dois at ten, stating that the situation could lead to friction within the family.

'It will cause a lot of problems because the family wasn't present,' Ferreira said on air. 'And they shouldn't even have known. Or if they did know, it was 30 seconds beforehand.'

Co-host Claudio Ramos added: 'I really hope that what we said here, which had to do with the impressions we get from what exists on social media, did not actually cause sadness in the family, that things were not as they apparently seem.'

Despite the reports, Aveiro gave her blessing to the marriage publicly. She posted a heart emoticon on social media beneath Ronaldo's official announcement photo of the wedding rings. Aveiro has previously refuted claims of a strained relationship with her daughter-in-law.

Ronaldo's sister Katia, who lives in Brazil but travelled to Madeira at the weekend to visit family, also commented with a heart emoticon on the post. She has not publicly commented on reports regarding her absence from the ceremony.

Pre-Nuptial Agreement Details

Prior to the wedding, the couple established formal terms regarding their financial affairs. They signed a pre-nuptial agreement on August 10, one day before the ceremony, at a public notary office in Lisbon to keep their pre-nuptial assets separate.
