Coleen Rooney has seen her earnings soar to more than £2.4 million in a single year, establishing her as the main breadwinner for her family.

New financial figures filed on Wednesday for her personal business, CWR 2021, reveal company funds of £2,437,718 for the 12 months up to September 2025. This marks a massive increase from the £580,779 she recorded in the previous financial year.

The 40 year old television personality and businesswoman secured major paydays from a series of high profile media appearances. Her soaring income followed a runner up finish on the ITV reality series I'm A Celebrity and the launch of a new clothing collection with high street retail giant Primark.

Her financial success comes during a significant period of transition for her husband, former England captain and Manchester United record goalscorer Wayne Rooney.

The football star was sacked from his managerial position at Championship club Plymouth Argyle, temporarily leaving him without a daily role in the sport. He later joined the BBC as a pundit for the Match of the Day commentary team, providing analysis on domestic fixtures.

Record breaking television fees

Coleen reportedly earned £1.5 million for her 2024 stint in the Australian jungle on I'm A Celebrity. The lucrative fee made her the highest paid contestant in the history of the popular ITV survival programme, which maroons famous faces in a rainforest camp.

She has been in the public eye since her teenage years, having met her future husband at school in Liverpool before his meteoric rise to football stardom. Over the past two decades, she has carved out her own career in television, publishing, and fashion.

The television personality explained that receiving the "love and support off the public" during the gruelling reality competition gave her the confidence to pursue further broadcast opportunities. This public backing convinced her to agree to a new fly on the wall documentary series about her family life.

The Real Rooneys debuted last week on the Disney+ streaming platform. The highly anticipated launch followed a fierce bidding war between global streaming giants Disney and Amazon. The corporate battle lasted for months, with Disney eventually securing the global broadcasting rights for a massive £10 million fee.

Filmed last year, the reality series documents the shifting dynamics in the Rooney household. The cameras follow Coleen as she returns to a demanding work schedule while Wayne spends more time at their family mansion with their four sons.

Navigating a new family dynamic

During the first episode of the series, Wayne reflected on his changing role and his temporary departure from football management. The former striker won five Premier League titles during his playing career, but his transition into management has included challenging spells in the dugout.

"I think Coleen going back to work is good for her, rather than just being here and looking after the kids and me as well," he said on camera. "And that's coincided with me not having a 9-5 job so I'm here with the kids."

The former footballer also addressed their long standing decision to raise their children without hired assistance, despite their significant personal wealth and the intense demands of their public profiles.

"People ask why don't we have a nanny," he explained on the programme. "'You can afford to have a nanny help you,' but they're OUR kids. It's tough for anyone who has four kids but you want to bring them up. You want to be around them. It's tough but enjoyable."

Balancing work and motherhood

Despite her professional success and soaring earnings, the documentary shows Coleen grappling with the intense pressures of being a working mother. The first episode captures her struggling to decide whether to sign the multi million pound contract with Primark and commit to extended time away from her home life.

Personal service companies like CWR 2021 are routinely used by high profile entertainers to manage commercial income from these types of massive endorsement deals.

In an emotional conversation with her best friend Danielle Gibson, Coleen broke down in tears while discussing the strain on her household.

"I want a nice balanced life," she confessed on the show. "I do feel a bit sad at the minute. Just because I don't think things are... just a bit snappy, irritated."

She continued: "It's just a bit hard juggling everything and the house is not happy. I try and do it but it's - there's small problems that we need to fix and I've got no time to stop and fix it and that's a bit worrying."

Acknowledging her increasingly demanding professional schedule, she detailed the emotional toll of leaving her children for work commitments.

"I prep and I try to do everything the best I can but I still find it really difficult leaving my kids," she said. "The hardest thing is picking the pieces up when you get back."

"Over the past few weeks I'm questioning myself, what do I need to do? I need to calm down but that's because I'm quite highly strung. I feel I have a lot, I need to do a lot, but maybe I don't have to do it all."
