Marriage and Relationship History

Charli and George married in September 2025 following a civil ceremony at Hackney Town Hall in July. Before dating George, Charli was in an on-and-off relationship for seven years with producer Huck Kwong before they split in 2022. She was also previously linked to Royal Blood frontman Mike Kerr.

Appearing on a special BBC episode hosted by DJ Jack Saunders to discuss her eighth album, Charli revealed her song Wink Wink is a message to her exes that she has found her ideal partner in her husband.

Speaking about the track, Charli told Saunders: "I think it’s actually about romantic relationships and, in the past, having maybe been a bit misunderstood by previous partners and having felt the pressure of wanting to become what they wanted me to be."

She continued: "Whereas now being with George, who I know you play football with, like he gets it and he gets me and it’s sort of you know, it’s like a different thing and so this song, in a way, is kind of me talking to my previous partners being like "yeah sure I’m this perfect person now wink wink" whereas in reality who is perfect, you know? No one."

The relaxing break comes as Charli prepares for her headlining set at the Reading and Leeds festival this weekend.
