Emmy Awards 2023 Calendar and Timeline Set;  Primetime, creative arts ceremonies TBD

The Television Academy on Friday announced key dates and schedules surrounding the 2023 Emmy Awards season.

Neither the Creative Arts Awards nor the major Primetime Emmy Awards dates have been set yet. The Primetime Emmys will be in their 75th year in 2023 and the awards will air on Fox. NBC and Peacock broadcast the final Emmys live from the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles in September.

One of the dates to watch out for is the selection period in the next cycle for TV programs broadcast between 1 June this year and 31 May 2023. The nomination round begins on June 15 and nominations will be announced on July 12.

Below is the Academy’s calendar for 2023 to date.

1 June 2022 – 31 May 2023

Open for submissions.

April 17

Membership application deadline to ensure eligibility for both rounds of 75e Emmy Contest and to receive member discounts.

April 17

Deadline for current voting members to request dash voting status.

May 8, 6:00 p.m

Deadline for lapsed members to request reinstatement of their membership to ensure voting rights for both rounds of 75e Emmy contest and secure membership fee reduction.

May 9, 6:00 p.m

Deadline for participation in programs identified by genre as prime time programs that were originally presented on a national platform from June 1, 2022 to May 31, 2023.

May 9, 6:00 p.m

Upload deadline for all submission materials.

June 15th

Voting for the nomination round begins.

June 26, 10am

Voting in the nomination round ends.

July 12

Deadline for errors and omissions in the nominations.
