Hugh Jackman and wife Deborra-Lee Furness are moving out of their $54 million New York City luxury apartment after putting it on the market in June.

Hugh Jackman and Deborra-Lee Furness officially parted ways on Friday with their luxury apartment in New York City as they move their belongings.

The couple hired movers to move their furniture out of the $US54.2 million ($38.9 million) apartment, which has been on the market since June.

Dressed for the cold weather, the 54-year-old Wolverine star stood outside to accompany his drivers and movers who carried boxes to the moving truck.

Dressed in gray sweatpants and a matching winter coat, layered loosely over a white hoodie and black t-shirt, he looked exactly like the man in charge overseeing the day.

The movie star kept his accessories simple: he wore black prescription glasses and trainers, while keeping his phone nearby.

Meanwhile, his wife, 26, looked resilient enough against the chilly New York weather as she donned a figure-hugging oversized winter jacket.

Deborra-Lee’s 66-year-old jacket hung below her knees and zipped up to her chin over black sweatpants.

She looked pleased as she rolled a motorized scooter down the sidewalk and pulled on a pair of bright orange and pink sneakers.

The producer’s golden locks fluttered wildly in the wind, barely contained in the loose topknot she piled on top of her head.

Wearing gray sweatpants and a matching winter jacket, which he wore loosely over a white hoodie and black t-shirt, he looked every inch the man in charge as he supervised the day.

They have lived in the posh apartment in midtown Manhattan since 2008.

The five-bedroom, seven-bathroom triplex in trendy West Village had a target price of US$38.9 million (AUD54.2 million).

Hugh revealed last year that he was homesick for his native Australia after the extended Covid lockdown in NYC.

Deborra-Lee and the couple’s children were originally in Melbourne when the coronavirus was declared a pandemic in March 2019.

But four days later, they returned to the United States to keep the family together.
