The service was faced with an unexpected lawsuit.
Sometimes lawsuits can turn into a real show. So this time they started demanding money from a big company, but the main thing here is who is asking for this money.
Mexican drug cartel boss Sandra Ávila Beltrán wants to sue streaming service Netflix for using her image in Queen of the South without permission, according to VICE.
Sandra believes the company’s actions have damaged its image and the service itself has made an impressive amount of money from it. She aims to get 40% of the company’s revenue from broadcasting the show, which has been running since 2011. The series “Queen of the South” tells about the heroine Teresa, who wants to clear all drug trafficking in Spain.
