Producer and music critic Pavel Rudchenko believes that the key pop group BTS is not destined to conquer Russian listeners. The team is too outside the accepted ideals in the country.
BTS, which occupies the first lines of the western charts, probably won’t interest the Russians. Moreover, according to Rudchenko, the South Korean seven, created as a purely commercial project, will be forgotten in the near future.
“These western boy bands, sugary guys with an incomprehensible orientation, it would hardly have worked for us. The same PSY, who was with his Gangnam Style not so long ago, entered Russia even more than the BTS project. He’s funnier, more comical, more masculine. He drove his cartoon version, and he is still mentioned. And these guys will be blown away very soon,” Rudchenko said in an interview with PopCornNews.
