The fate of the legendary comedy cannot be repeated.
The release of the Hollywood remake of “The Irony of Fate” was announced for September, but there are already disputes on the web as to whether About Fate can, if not surpass, the cult tape’s success, at least in the comes near. Such conversations are pointless, however, the expert believes.
A small, modest romantic film “hasn’t collected anything for a long time” at the box office, film critic Alexander Golubchikov explained in an interview with the PopCornNews portal. And the two projects actually have little in common:
“It is very difficult to compare. Ryazanov’s band is connected with people who had the last chance to find their fate – this is a story about children of the post-war period. For the American public, such things are hard to bear. This is betting on those who buy the same homes in the American suburbs, and it’s easy to confuse them. And this is a story about young people.”
