The death of Yuri Shatunov sparked Russian show business. True, only a few came to see the soloist of “Tender May” on their latest tour. Among them is Nikolai Baskov.
“Natural blonde” did not leave the widow of the late artist even after his departure. He promised to help with the installation of the monument, the money for which the family has already started raising.
Baskov admitted that among the galaxy of domestic showbiz he can distinguish only two legends.
“We had two iconic figures in show business: these are Tsoi and Shatunov!” – Director Arkady Kudryashov conveyed Baskov’s words to KP.RU.
Meanwhile, while the issue with the monument is almost resolved, the rumors about the posthumous awarding of the title of People’s Artist to Shatunov do not abate. But not all experts agree to assign high regalia to the singer.
