Although some argued or the third season is attracted by a masterpiece, others have already found a series that is not at all inferior – or even surpassed in serving.
We are talking about Atlanta – the project of the author of Donald Glover, which has long been recognized in the United States by almost the most important comic provocation of recent years. In Russia, the series has a pretty decent 7.8 in Kinopoisk – and this takes into account the fact that not everyone understood what they have looked at.
Just like the “Bear”, “Atlanta” is built around two heroes with opposite characters trying to survive in a strict professional environment. Only instead of restaurant Hell is the world of hip hop here. Brian Tyri Henry plays a starting rapper, nicknamed Paper Boi, and Glover himself is his cousin and at the same time a failed manager called Ern. The relationships between them are constantly balanced between companies, mutual irritation and a kind of friendship.

But Atlanta goes much further than the standard genre. This is a series in which one series is almost a short film, and the other suddenly turns into a satirical current show. The most discussed episodes can generally unfold in an absurd parallel world, where there are simply no main characters. And all this develops somehow in a whole, recognizable structure.
Project makers:
- Donald Glover – The author of the idea, the leading actor and show grant
- Hiro Murai – Director and executive producer (“Bear”, “Barry”)
- Brian Tyri Henry -Paper Boi (the Star of the “Joker” and the Voice “Spider-Man: Through the Universes”))
- Zazi Bitz – Friend of the protagonist (“Deadpool 2”)
- Lakit Stanfield – eccentric friend Darius, absolute MVP in the number of broken replicas
Atlanta is an ironic, brutal, sometimes almost surreal TV show, which at the same time stays ridiculous, even when it discusses rather gloomy things. If you thought the ‘bear’ in places is in room and predictable – ‘Atlanta’ should definitely look.
